Lake George

Picture: The exquisite Narrows features many beautiful state campsites among the 300 islands. At 2265 feet, Black Mountain is the lakes highest. The length of the lake is 32 miles and greatest width is 3 miles, with a maximum depth of 195 feet. Discovered in 1646 by Father Jogues, a French Jesuit missionary who named the lake Lac du St. Sacrement.

These cards were sent by Alaunda and show quite clearly that New York has a lot to offer outside of New York City. I would like to take this chance to thank her for helping me with this project.

Picture: Horse Drawn Carriage Ride at Lake George. One of several antique carriages conducting a tour of the village and Beach Rd., with spectacular views of the lake and mountains.
