Arkansas  

Picture: An 'old master' might have painted this scene on canvas, but travelers in the Ozark Mountains can see it every day. The Ozark Mountain Country of Northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri has beautiful forests, lakes, streams and more than 10,000 springs. Underground streams have formed more than 2,000 caves in the area.

These cards were sent to me by Kay who is based in Paragould, Arkansas. I will take this chance to thank Kay for her quick response to my request for post cards.

Picture: Back in their home in the holler goes these happy hillbillies after a shopping trip to the general store. Pa and the boys can't carry much; they're saving themselves to open gates and chase varmints out of the road.
