'The First State'
Picture: Wilmington is the largest city in Delaware, the seat of New Castle County, and the home to DuPont, the country's largest chemical and materials corporation. This city offers visitors great museums, restaurants, and hotels.
These cards were sent to me by Brennalee who is actually my New Jersey contact too, these cards were a result of a trip made by her and Pam who is based in Philadelphia, PA. Thanks goes to both ladies for helping me out with this state as I really do wonder if anyone in Delaware gets on the Internet.
Picture: The nineteen-mile Chesapeake and Delaware Canal connects the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland to the Delaware River. The canal, which opened in 1829, cuts almost 300 miles off the water journey between Baltimore and Philadelphia. Considered one of the world's busiest canals - over 22,000 vessels sail through each year.
