'The Hoosier State'

These cards were sent to me by Micki who is based in South Bend, it's only by her persistance that I received these cards as three attempts at normal post failed. In the end Fed. Ex came to our rescue and I can't thank Micki enough for going to so much trouble to help me.

Picture: This term evolved over the years from indistinct beginnings. One of the more popular theories is that pioneers would respond to a knock on their door with,"Who's Yere?" Indianans, from this usage, came to be known as "Hoosiers".
