Picture: Battleship Cove is the home of several historic naval vessels, including the U.S.S. Massachusetts (BB-59), the U.S.S. Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. (DD-850) and the U.S.S. Lionfish (SS-298). Operated by the U.S.S. Massachusetts Memorial Committee, Inc., a private non-profit educational corporation which is dedicated to the preservation of these vessels and to the preservation of the Battleship Massachusetts as the Commonwealth's World War II Memorial.
These cards were sent to me by Sandy who is based in Fall River, I would like to thank her for the prompt response to my request for help with the project.
Picture: The brilliantly colored clay cliffs, a designated National landmark, rise 150 feet above the shore and were formed 100 million years ago by glaciers. Built in 1799 and rebuilt in 1856, Gay Head Light has a range of 24 miles.
