Montana

White Cliffs

Picture: White Cliffs stand like alabaster skyscrapers above the languid flow of the Missouri River in north central Montana, arguably one of the most flamboyant of the many fascinating geologic formations greeting those who venture into the Missouri breaks, best accessed by boat.

I would like to thank Maureen and the rest of the team she works with at the Dept. of Administration who sent me these post cards. They are based in Helena and were very helpful..

Picture: In 1805-06, Lewis and Clark's "Corp of Discovery" passed through present day Montana with the primary objective of finding a waterway from the East to the Pacific, and along the way documenting flora and fauna, and meeting area inhabitants.
