Picture: Algonquin Mill is steam powered and owned and operated by the Carroll County Historical Society. Originally built as a water powered mill in 1818 it was in continuous operation until 1938. Located at Petersburg Ohio, the mill is the site of spring and fall festivals sponsored by the historical society.
Picture: Agriculture is the largest industry in the beautiful rolling land of Carroll County, Ohio. The county has the largest number of tree farms in the state and is number one in residential camping facilities. Many acres are farmed with the no-till method and dairy herds are still a major source of income.
