Ohio State House

Picture: One of the nation's best examples of Greek Revival architecture, has been restored to its Civil War-era splendor with rededication in July 1996.

These cards were sent by Susie, she had a lot of problems getting cards to me, in fact this was her third attempt. Most people would have given up after the second attempt so I would like to thank her for her persistence. Susie is based in Amsterdam although plans to move to Australia imminently.

Picture: The McCook House (1837) was built by Major Daniel McCook, who with his nine sons and his brother John and his five sons, became the "Fighting McCooks" of Civil War fame. The Federal style home jointly operated by the Ohio and Carroll County Historical Societies, is located on Public Square in Carrollton, Ohio.
